Avs video converter for mac os x 10.4.11

The 1. I've updated the converter to support Divx5 and Xvid. Both of these are better compressors than the Divx converter used by the version 1 media converter. Among other things they keep the maximum bit rate better controlled. I noticed that DX50 same as Divx5? I converted a TV show to the medium N settings x and played it back on my N Mplayer v1.

Hardly any stuttering at all in my experience, everything on the N stutters. I tried a preview of the x setting, but the stuttering became a little more apparent. I did use the Xvid encoder for both tries, mainly because that was the format of the original file, so I'll try a DivX5 pass later on.

One question: Would Mplayer support a resolution of x that's in aspect ratio? I have quite a lot of material in that resolution it's what my Archos PMA records in and it would be nice to be able to keep it. I realize the pixel count is a bit higher than the medium setting, but it is lower than the high quality. Hi, I think you can just edit the resolutions. I'm pretty easy-going about allowing stuff in there.

Let me know if that doesn't work. I get the tiniest bit of stutter on tough-stuff using mplayer but otherwise it's great. I think the xvid decoder is noticeably slower in mplayer I'm running on an I've added Audio transcoding in the 2. If you encode at Hopefully with speedups to come this will be easy.

Can't understand why I can't get any of the higher resolutions visible. Program tries to unlock a connection without having acquired a lock first, which indicates a programming error. There will be no further warnings about this issue.

Program tries to lock an already locked connection, which indicates a programming error. Something wrong with loading of resolutions. Hi, If you're trying to run on Linux I started to try that and needed to upgrade my redhat distro which I haven't done yet. So, I've never tested it on Linux. Is this Linux or Windows?

If Linux, note that mencoder that ships with the MC either version is for windows. Most likely: until 2. I've fixed that in 2. Hi, I've posted a new version with a few tweaks for Linux like a script to run it but it seems to work fine on Ubuntu 7. I did install the java 6 RE but I don't think that mattered since running it from the command line seems to use the built-in Ubuntu java.

There's a linux screenshot on the download page. The output and quality from this is amazing compared to what I've been using before. Mac leopard would not run : Tried just running the jar as well as java -jar MediaConverter2. It works very well for me. I can't seem to get it to work under my installation of Ubuntu 7. Just an update on this. It turns out that I'm able to convert videos but only if I select H. I must be missing a package but I haven't been able to figure out which one.

I have the medibuntu repositories setup and I have installed the mplayer, mencoder and w32codecs package. Works great for me, too. If using the default ubuntu java gij the app works as advertised. Under Mac OS NullPointerException at mediaconverter.

Any idea what's the problem? Thank you! I want to use the -aid 1 and -sid 0 flags, but can't pass those using the nice gui. That would change the audio language and display subtitles on the OGM files I am converting. I think that's the "file manager" java object. See if there's an update. Let me know if not. I haven't tried mac os and don't have one here to try with it's not like a linux distro so it's tough to debug. With respect to the 'passing commands to mencoder' It will show the one or more commands. I could probably add a 'custom' commands thing but as you note editing the config file works fine as well would be my guess.

To all: I'm sorry I didn't notice the posts about Ubuntu issues. I thought I'd get auto-email but guess not. I'll look into that in a week since I do have Ubuntu here. The Java version is the same, though. Unfortunately, it seems that there are no official version of Java 6 for OS X.

Hi, I've taken a look. I'm using Java 6 on Ubuntu. Note 1: If you don't invoke the jar file from the current directory it won't find the resolutions. This causes the list to be wrong and probably not change. It's not a java version issue but a working directory issue. That's why I use a command file. I would have posted it in the os forum but never got a response from the original media converter author.

I'd appreciate a return of the edited source so I can keep it current here and eventually post it somewhere I'll also try this with the original Ubuntu java if I can get Neatbeans to use it. Hi, OK, I've posted a new version that builds and is compatible with Java 5. There were a couple of gotchas that are only in 6 oops. Also I fixed the volume gain button which was putting a string in the wrong place. The N and probably the N with OS has this not-enough-volume issue talked about elsewhere. You can try a larger number if you want.

I just wanted to say thanks for this program. It works great on my xp machine and the vids play great on my Hi, No problem. I was happy to get it working well.

N Video Converter [Archive] - ilodykuh.tk - Talk

I just flew to the UK and on my N I had 18 ebooks, 8 movies, and 50 cd's. What could be cooler than that? Maybe a battery that lasts nine hours? I need some help. Is there anything im missing? This might be a dumb newbie question: When i run media converter v2. Is there another way to do this? Thanks I don't know about media converter but if you're on Windows you can start with DVD Shrink and then you use a converter to make the files compatible with the NIT.
